Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
IdeasToViews (“we”, “the app”) helps creators plan and package YouTube ideas. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the app you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
IdeasToViews is operated as an independent product. For privacy questions, use Feedback inside the app or contact us via the support email shown on our Google sign-in consent screen.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the product, we may process:
- Account data — If you sign in (Google or email magic link), we receive identifiers such as your email address and basic profile details from the auth provider (e.g. Google / Supabase Auth).
- Workspace content — Ideas, titles, notes, packaging choices, and related app data you create. When signed in, this may sync to our cloud database so it is available across devices.
- On-device data — As a guest (or in addition to cloud sync), the app stores data in your browser (e.g. localStorage / IndexedDB) so Create works without an account.
- Feedback — Text and votes you submit on the Feedback board, and technical context such as app version or page URL when needed to understand reports.
- Technical data — Standard server and service logs (e.g. IP, timestamps, error diagnostics) from hosting and auth providers used to run the service securely.
We do not require payment card data in the app today. We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data.
3. How we use information
- Provide and improve IdeasToViews (save progress, sync when signed in, feedback).
- Authenticate you and protect accounts (via Supabase Auth and, if you choose, Google).
- Respond to feedback and keep the service reliable and secure.
- Comply with legal obligations if required.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sign-in with Google
If you use Continue with Google, Google authenticates you and shares limited profile information (typically name, email, and profile image) with our auth backend (Supabase). We use that only to create or access your IdeasToViews account and sync your workspace. You can review Google’s permissions on Google’s consent screen. You may also sign in with an email magic link instead.
5. Processors and infrastructure
We use trusted processors to run the product, including:
- Netlify — website hosting and serverless functions.
- Supabase — authentication and cloud database for signed-in workspaces.
- Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.
These providers process data under their own terms and security practices, on our instructions to deliver the service.
6. Cookies and local storage
The app uses browser storage (and similar technologies) to keep guest progress, preferences (e.g. theme), and session state. Essential storage is required for the app to function.
7. Data retention
- Guest / on-device data — Stays in your browser until you clear site data or remove it in the app.
- Cloud workspace — Kept while your account exists and as needed to provide the service; we may delete inactive accounts after reasonable notice or as required by law.
- Feedback — Retained to improve the product unless you ask us to remove a specific entry where feasible.
8. Your choices
- Use the app as a guest without creating an account.
- Sign out at any time from the account menu.
- Clear browser site data to remove local guest data.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of account/cloud data via Feedback or the support contact on our Google consent screen.
- Revoke Google access in your Google Account permissions settings.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a web app (HTTPS, access controls, database policies so signed-in users only access their own workspace). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Children
IdeasToViews is aimed at creators and adults. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Do not use the service if you are under that age.
11. International users
The service may be hosted or processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. If you use IdeasToViews from elsewhere, you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will change the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
Questions about privacy: use Feedback in the app, or the support email listed for IdeasToViews on the Google OAuth consent screen.
